Language: English

Description: Motivation is the set of individual forces that initiate, direct, and cause individuals to persist in their efforts to accomplish a goal or task. When individuals think of worker motivation, they tend to believe that giving more effort and working harder naturally leads to better job performance; it is more complicated than that, as performance is impacted by other factors unrelated to motivation. An important element of workplace management is when managers motivate workers to do their job well. This course, offered by our accredited school partners, discusses worker motivation, what motivates people to do their job well, and how managers can learn to motivate their workforce. Determining someone’s individual needs is the first step to answering figuring out how to motivate them. Any discussion on motivation isn’t complete unless rewards are also considered. Enroll through one of our accredited university or college partners today!

Instructor Description: This class is an independent-study course.  Students will have all the resources needed to successfully complete the course within the online material.  A student helpdesk is available for technical support during the course enrollment.
